Economic times are tough all around right now, gas prices are going up, which in turn causes goods and services costs to increase, people are having a tough time doing the things which have become normal expectations.

This creates an issue with animal rescue as well. When people are cutting back on extras, donations drop. Being an organization that survives on donations (we get no governmental support and have no grant in place for operations) we are suffering the effects of a depressed economy as well. Our expenses don't decrease ever, in fact our expenses are rising like everyone's and we need support.

People don't realize the enormous daily cost of caring for 70+ dogs and cats; it is very high. Our organization does it's best to keep costs down. We have one paid employee who has not been paid in the past two weeks, and won't be paid this week. All other income goes to pay for food, vet care, waste removal and rent.

So. I come to this blog place today to ask for help. Please consider donating any amount. and if you are able, a monthly donation would help tremendously.
